A freshly developed picnic spot is an ideal destination for spending an evening or for a day out with friends and family. The lake is developed by the Mussoorie Dehradun Development authority as a recreation option for natives as well as tourists. You can enjoy boat riding here and also see duck swimming. The lake remains open on all days however the boating timings are from 08:00 am to 06:00 pm.

Situated amidst high mountains and lush green vicinity, Kempty Fall is the major tourist attraction in Mussoorie. Kempty Fall is an ideal picnic spot with a view of beautiful cascade of water falling from 40 feet. This place is also ideal for swimming, and this lake perennial. The fall remains open on all days but the ideal time for the visit is early morning and sunset.

Located on the top of Depot Hill, Lal Tibba is the major highlight of Mussoorie. Meaning “Red Hill” in Hindi, this picture-perfect destination is a treat for the eyes. Here you can get a glimpse of Badrinath peak, Kedarnath peak, and Bandarpunch peak. Also, sunset and sunrise are mesmerizing here.

Also referred to as Mini Tibet, Happy Valley is the largest Tibetan settlement in Mussoorie. This place become home of Tibetans after Dalai Lama took refuge here in 1959. Some places worth visiting here are Shedup Choephelling Temple, Tibetan Shrine, Tibetan Home Foundation, and Buddhist Temple.

Due to its geographical shape like a camel’s hump, this place is known as Camel’s Back Road. Take a long stroll here with your loved ones or with your friend while enjoying the magnificent natural beauty. Enjoy hot snacks at the mountainside or go for horse riding here. The place remains open 24/7.

Gun Hill is the second-highest point in Mussoorie offering a bird-eye view of the entire town. For more thrill, go for a cable-cart ride here from Jhula Ghar to Gun Hill and enjoy the stunning view from up there. You can also enjoy trekking and ropeway here. Don’t miss the scenic view of sunrise and sunset from up here.
