Being a hill station, Mussoorie enjoys a moderate and pleasant climate throughout the year which makes it a hit among tourists. Monsoons can be a little terrifying here since problems of landslides and road blockage are common here during this time. Summer and Winter both have their own charm in Mussoorie and both seasons attract tonnes of tourists here. Let’s discuss these seasons in detail. 


  1. Winters - October to February

Snow in winter attracts a lot more tourists to Mussoorie. With the onset of October, days and nights start becoming more chillier and foggy. The temperature can go as low as 0℃ and maximum temperature remains up to 10 °C. Don't forget to visit Sir George Everest’s home, Tibetan Monasteries, Christ Church, and Happy Valley are some must-visit during Mussoorie.  

  1. Summer - March to June

Unlike other states, Mussoorie witness a pleasant and enjoyable summer. People from all over the world visit this hill station for escaping the hot and scorching summers. Average temperature usually hovers between 15℃ to 23℃ which make the stay even more enjoyable. You can visit Kempty Fall, Bhatta Fall, Jharipani Fall, Mossy Fall, and Shikhar Fall here for a pleasing time. Hotels become heavily crowded at this time of the year, so book your hotel in advance for more discount. 

 

  1. Monsoon - July to September

Monsoon time is considered perilous in Mussoorie since the incidents of road blockage and landslides are quite common at this time. However, prices of hotels and resorts drop steadily making it favorable for budget travelers. If you like lush-green forest and misty mountains, then MUssorrie is not going to disappoint you. However, be a lot more cautious here to avoid any mishappening.
