Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh is the nearest airport to Ladakh located at a distance of 44km. This airport is connected with several other cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bangalore. All the major airlines including Air India, IndiGo, Spicejet, and Air Asia are flying to here. Airways is the easiest and fastest way to reach Ladakh.

The bus route from Srinagar to Ladakh is only open for 5 months from June to October. There are mainly two highways that are used to reach Ladakh via bus, one is the Manali - Leh Highway and the other is Srinagar – Leh Highway. If you are planning a bus trip to Ladakh, then be prepared for a bumpy ride.

Most of the tourists, especially youngsters visit Ladakh in bike especially Royal Enfield. Ladakh has three highest mountain passes that can be explored on a vehicle. You can also hire a cab or taxi to reach Ladakh. Road trip to Ladakh is not recommended in winters as the roads are completely blocked due to snow. Snow clearing starts from Early March and roads are opened from May end. Besides bikes, bicycles are also very common on this route. There are plenty of dhabas and other eateries on this route, so you can complete your road trip with proper rest.
