Known as the “Temple of God’s Love,” Prem Mandir is imbued with elegance and grandeur. Dedicated to Lord Radha Krishna and Sita Ram, this temple was built by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, a non-profit organization. It was built with white marble, and the architectural beauty of this temple is the best in the entire Brij area. The premises of mandir is decorated with parks, fountains, and idols. The mandir is a visual delight during evening and nightlife when the whole temple starts glowing with colorful lights.
Built by Swami Haridas of Nimbarka Sampradaya in 1864, this is one of the oldest temples of Vrindavan dedicated to Lord Krishna. The highlight of this temple is curtain closing and opening ceremony, because it is believed that staring the eyes of idol for too long can make a devotee unconscious. The temple remains crowded in the month of Sravan.
Dedicated to Lord Krishna, this temple was built by the ruler of Amber, Raja Maan Singh. The temple was partially destructed by a Muslim ruler, Aurangzeb in 1670. The temple is a mixture of Hindu, Islamic, and Western architectural style. The temple remains crowded during Holi and Janmashtmi, and currently it is in a really bad condition.
Located on the banks of Yamuna River, Keshi Ghat is one of the most beautiful ghats. Mythology related to this ghat is that Lord Krishna killed Keshi demon and came to this ghat for a bath. Since then it is known as Keshi ghat. Early morning and evening prayers performed here fills the whole atmosphere with chanting of Hare Krishna.
Dedicated to Lord Ranganath, another name of Lord Vishnu, this temple is another magnificent architecture in Vrindavan. Constructed in a Dravidian style, this temple was built by Seth Radhakrishna and Seth Govindadas. It’s premises feature a 50 feet gold plated stambha, garden, and six-storied gopuram. Idols of Lord Narsimha, Lord Rama, Lord Sita, and Lord Laxman are also present here along with Lord Vishnu.
Also known as Sri Krishna-Balram Mandir, it is one of the most popular temples in Vrindavan. It was built in the year 1975 by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). This temple features three sanctums and Lord Krishna is housed under central shrine. Janmashtami and Ram Navami are the main festivals celebrated here will full enthusiasm.
