Visakhapatnam or Vizag is filled with amazing tourist places and INS Kursura is one of them. It is a submarine museum that was established at Rama Krishna Beach. INR Kursura was originally a submarine made by the Russians back in 1969 which reached Vishakhapatnam in 1970 through the Baltic Sea and served the Indian Navy. Moreover, the INS Kursura submarine museum is the very first submarine which got turned into a museum in the Asian continent and second in the world. You can witness parts of the submarine-like control room, radar room, sonar room, and also the weapons that were used during the war. Also, see the artifacts, written scripts and photographs display its evolution. Visit this museum between 2 pm - 8.30 pm from Tuesday to Saturday and from 10 am to 12.30 pm and 2 pm to 8.30 pm on Sunday except Monday (closed). The entry fees are as follows - Adults - INR 40 , Children (Below 12 years) - INR 20, Still Camera - INR 50, Video Camera - INR 200

This beach has derived its name from the Ramakrishna Mission ashram located near this beach. The blue waters, serene atmosphere and scenic views are perfect to spend your day here. The sunset here will relax your mind and is truly a mesmerizing sight. There are a lot of people enjoying the views with their family and friends. Not only tourists but locals also can be seen spending some quality time here at the beach. You can try various popular activities here like surging, swimming, sunbathing, beach volleyball and more. Camel ride is also available on Rama Krishna Beach. Fish boating is also organized by local fishers to enjoy the gorgeous sunset. Visit the beach between 5 am to 12 am with no entry free. However, INR 50 is charged for a boat ride per person.

This place is a Hindu Sanctuary that is built on the Simhachalam slope. It is about 800 m above the sea level made at a division of ten miles north of Visakhapatnam. Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha is a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu who is worshipped as Varaha Narsimha. The sanctuary is categorized into 32 sections where Vishnu displayed its specific shape with a hog head, human body, and a lion’s tail. The symbol of Varaha Narsimnha is made with sandalwood glue which flows and looks like Shiva Lingam.

One of the prime attractions of Visakhapatnam, Kailasagiri is a famous spot for picnics and spending quality time with your loved ones. Kailasagiri covers an area of 100 acres on top of a hill and provides magnificent views from there. Moreover, you will love the well-maintained and scenic park bustling with tourists enjoying the calmness of this place. Here, witness the 40 feet tall Lord Shiva and Parvathi statue. Experience a ropeway along with breathtaking views of the city and enjoy every bit of it.
