Kanyakumari Temple, also known as Bhagavathy Amman Temple is one of the 108 shakti peethas in the Hindu Mythology. Located at the seashore, this temple is dedicated to Devi Kanya Kumari. The word “Kanya” means virgin and “Kumari” means a girl. Devotees from all parts of Indian and overseas visit this temple, and the temple remains crowded most of the time. The temple remains open on all days from 04:30 am to 12:30 pm and 05:00 pm to 08:30 pm.

Previously the residence of Travancore Rulers, Padmanabhapuram Palace is the best example of the Dravidian architecture. The word “Padma” means lotus, Nabha means navel, and Puram means town. The palace remains open on all days except Monday, and its visiting hours are 09:00 am to 01:00 pm and 02:00 pm to 04:30 pm. It charges an entry fee of Rs. 2 for children, Rs. 10 for adults, Rs. 25 for still camera, and Rs. 1200 for video camera.

Located amidst the Lakshadweep Sea, this iconic monument is one of the prominent tourist attractions in Kanyakumari. It comprises of two complexes, Vivekananda Mandapam and Shripada Mandapam. Situated on a small island near Kanyakumari, Thiruvalluvar Statue is built in the memory and honor of Tamil philosopher and poet Thiruvalluvar. The statue along with pedestal is 133 feet long which symbolizes the 133 chapter in Thirukkural. Tourists can ride a ferry and reach here by paying just Rs. 20 for the ride. The statue was sculpted by architect and sculptor V. Ganapati Sthapati. This statue is also one of the major attractions of Kanyakumari.
