Nestled on the top of Bilva mountain peak, Mansa Devi Temple is one of the major attractions of Haridwar. Devotees can reach here either by trekking of taking a ropeway ride. Dedicated to goddess Mansa Devi, this temple is visited by thousands of devotees visiting Haridwar for a holy dip. This famous Siddhpeeth offers a panoramic view of the entire valley and is a must-visit in Haridwar.

Har ki Pauri is one of the holiest spots in Haridwar, where devotees take a bath for the expiation of their sins. This ghat was built by Raja Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bharthari. The highlight of this ghat is evening aarthi, when hundreds of devotees and priests worship river Ganga here. All major prayers and other activities are conducted in this ghat only.

Build in the year 1929, Chandi Devi Temple is a famous religious center located nearby Haridwar, which is visited by Indians as well as by foreigners in a large number. This magnificent temple is located on top of the Neel Parvat and is surrounded by greenery and tranquility. Pilgrims can either opt for a cable car ride for teaching on top or they can select a 3 km long trek.

Sapt Rishi Ashram or Sapt Sarovar is situated on the bank of river Ganga and is a perfect spot for devotees looking for internal peace and tranquility. The peaceful ambiance surrounded by trees and mountains and the gurgling sound of river Ganga makes it an ideal place for the devotees to indulge in meditation. As per ancient mythology, seven sages used to meditate here but the sound of the river interrupted their focus after which they split the river in seven different directions.

Complementing the charm of the old world, Bara Bazar is a local market in Haridwar from where you can buy anything from ayurvedic products to ornaments, books, Rudraksha seeds, and souvenirs. Don’t forget to buy sweets made up of pure milk here. You will easily find all religious stuff here required for a prayer. A number of photographers can be seen here capturing the vibrancy and charm of this religious market.

Another most visited religious site in Haridwar is Maya Devi Temple. As per the beliefs, the navel and heart of the goddess Sati was fell at this place, after which this temple was built. Whether you are visiting Haridwar for spirituality or for exploration, this temple is a must-visit here. Maya Devi Temple is also one of the three Siddhpeeths in Haridwar, and the other two are Mansa Devi Temple and Chandi Devi Temple.
