Srinagar Airport, also known as Named Sheikh ul Alam Airport, is an international airport, which is well-connected to important cities, such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Chandigarh. The airport is just a few kilometres away from the centre of the city and has regular flights from the mentioned cities.

The Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC) provides bus services from Srinagar to all parts of India. Srinagar is well-connected to other Indian states via road network, however due to some security reasons direct bus service is unavailable to Srinagar. National Highway (NH) 44 connects Srinagar with Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Kashmire, and other Southern states. Some of the major bus route here are Shimla to Srinagar via Jammu and Delhi to Srinagar via Chandigarh.

🚗 Road/ Self Drive

If you prefer travelling by road, you can take cabs or buses from the major cities like Delhi, Leh, Jammu or Chandigarh, which are 876 km, 424 km, 258 km and 646 km away respectively. Srinagar is very well connected with these cities by bus services and private cars. By Rail: In order to reach the city by rail, you have to reach either Jammu Tawi railway station or Udhampur railway station. Both of these railway stations are well connected to the different parts of India. Once you reach any of the stations, you can easily hire private cars, taxis or government buses to reach the city.
