Known as the city of Lord Krishna, Dwarka is considered one of the most important sacred sites in India. Dwarka is home to one of the four char dhams of India, hence it holds great religious significance. As per the mythologies, after killing Kansa, Lord Krishna left Mathura and traveled with the entire Yadava community to this place and founded his own town. Originally, it was named Swarnadwarika. Dwarka is a tranquil town where you will find numerous temples and shrines, mostly dedicated to Lord Krishna. Some places worth visiting here are Dwarkadhish Temple, Matsyavatar Temple, Naagnath Temple, Nageshwar Mahadev Temple, Nageshvara Jyotirlinga, Gomti Ghat, and Beyt Dwarka.
