Guru Shikhar forms the highest point in the range of Aravalli. It is the ideal spot to get the breathtaking views of the city and is known for Guru Dattatreya Temple. There is nothing much to do besides the stunning views and the temple, but it is a perfect place to relieve all your stress and enjoy the enchanting surroundings. Don’t forget to take some food with you on your trip to Guru Shikhar. The timings to visit Guru Shikhar are 8 am to 6.30 pm and is open on all days.

Originally built by the Paramara Dynasty rulers, Achalgarh is an ancient fort in the city of Mount Abu. The ruler of Mewar Kingdom, Maharana Kumbha reconstructed this fort in 1452 and named it Achalgarh. People visit this fort from different parts of India and have a great day out. The entrance of this fort has two pillars made of grey granite which stands as a memorial of this majestic fort. You can admire the stunning views of the surroundings here. Achalgarh fort is open from 5 am to 7 pm on all days.

Nakki Lake is one of the places one has to visit when traveling to Mount Abu. It is a sacred and ancient lake and has a mythology behind it. According to Hindu Mythology, Gods dug this lake using their nails to gain shelter from Demon Banshkhali. Nevertheless, you can head to this lake for a picnic with your family and friends. It is the lake where the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were also immersed and hence led to the construction of Gandhi Ghat. Visit to Nakki Lake between 9.30 am to 6 pm to enjoy boating. There are boating charges that you have to pay.

This temple is known for its natural occurring Shiva Linga and is one of the oldest temples in the state of Rajasthan. Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple is situated very close to Achal Fort and was constructed around the 2nd century. Some restoration work has been done to maintain this architectural beauty. Moreover, this temple is believed to have a foot impression of Lord Shiva and houses a brass Nandi and 3 buffalos sculptures near the pond. Achaleshwar Temple is open on all days.
