Constructed by the Britishers to exile political prisoners, this jail housed several notable freedom fighters including Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, Yogendra Shukla, and Batukeshwar Dutt. The park remains close in the monsoon season from June to August. The best time to visit this park is from November to February.
