Is The RT-PCR Test Mandatory For Domestic & International Flights/Arrivals In India?

No RT-PCR Test is a Must for Fully Vaccinated Passengers

The union health ministry has replaced the list of at-risk countries with the list of countries that accept Indian arrivals with primary vaccination completion certificates.

The government accepts travelers who submit complete and factual information in a self-declaration form on the Air Suvidha portal before booking a flight ticket online.

Below is the list of the countries with their guidelines for travelers. These countries are not part of India’s at-risk countries list.

International Arrival Guidelines

Australia

Entry Regulations in Australia

Fully vaccinated international arrivals comply with the NSW Health Guidelines for All International Arrivals for 14 days.
A quick antigen test (RAT) within 24 hours of arrival and self-isolate is mandatory to wait for the negative in the report.
A second test on day 6 is compulsory to know the international arrival is covid negative.
All international arrivals with RAT results do not need to opt for a second confirmatory COVID-19 test.
International arrivals who are not vaccinated are quarantined for seven to fourteen days until the COVID-19 testing requirements do not meet.

Quarantine/Additional Information for Australia

Obtain your covid vaccination certificate of the country you received your vaccination.
Provide acceptable proof if there are any medical reasons you cannot take covid vaccination.
International arrivals in Australia must complete the Digital Passenger Declaration (DPD).
Arrivals must complete the DPD before boarding the aircraft and carry evidence to prove that they have filled the DPD.

Canada

Entry Regulations in Canada

Fully vaccinated international arrivals in Canada will no longer need to provide a pre-entry COVID-19 test result.

Quarantine/Additional Information for Canada

International arrival must provide his contact details and travel information, quarantine plan, and Covid -19 symptom self-assessment.
After fourteen days of quarantine upon arrival, international travelers must show their ArriveCAN receipt to enter Canada.
All air travelers who board the same flight that contains a covid patient must take a COVID-19 molecular test at the Canadian airport and quarantine for 14 days.
Travelers must have a prior reservation at a 3- night stay in a government-authorized hotel until they get the negative covid result report.
A traveler will be liable for a fine if he fails to complete all the mentioned requirements.

Saudi Arabia

Entry Regulations in Saudi Arabia

International arrivals do not require to submit a negative result report of a PCR test or a rapid antigen test before booking a flight ticket online to come to Saudi Arabia.
Institutional quarantine and home quarantine are no longer required.

Quarantine/Additional Information for Saudi Arabia

A negative RTPCR test or Covid antigen test report is mandatory to submit is taken within 48Hrs before coming to Saudi Arabia.
Fully vaccinated traveler must confirm their Immune status through their Vaccine Certificate and Health Passport.
Healthy and covid recovered guests, except Saudi citizens, must fill the Registration Immunization Information Form before traveling to Saudi Arabia.

UAE

Entry Regulations in UAE

A valid vaccination certificate must be submitted by the arrival that reflects the passenger is fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the WHO or the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that must include a QR code.
A valid Negative Covid-19 Test certificate based on a molecular diagnostic test must carry to travel to UAE.
A negative Covid-19 Test certificate must be approved by the health service provider and detect nucleic acid for SARS-COV-2 viral RNA issued within 48 hours when the sample collection is with QR Code.

Quarantine/Additional Information for UAE

A medical certificate approved by the healthcare service provider issued by the appropriate authorities that proclaim the passenger is fully recovered from Coronavirus SARS Cov-19 within one month from the date of healing to the date of arrival, with a QR code.
Passengers arriving in UAE must download and activate the applications, such as the UAE Fast Track app and the ICA app.

Travelers must take the responsibility to take covid vaccination and meet the guidelines to become eligible to enter the country for which they are searching the cheapest flight ticket online.

Domestic Arrival Guidelines

Passengers must download Aarogya Setu App.
If a passenger is not fully vaccinated, he must carry a negative RT-PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/Rapid Antigen Test report not earlier than 72 hours from an ICMR approval.
A fully vaccinated passenger shall be exempted to carry a negative RT PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/Rapid Antigen Test report not earlier than 72 hours from an ICMR approval.
Passengers traveling to Uttarakhand must register themself on the state website before boarding the flight http://dsclservices.org.in/apply.php.
Handwritten reports will not be considered legal.

Quarantine/Additional Information

Quarantine is mandatory for the affected passenger till the result in the covid test report is not negative.
Covid positive passenger will quarantine and send to the approved medical institution for further treatment.
